The invention discloses a prefabricated inner partition wall and an installation method thereof. A ribbed panel A, a ribbed panel B and an interlayer are overlapped to form a partition wall main body;the ribbed panel A, the ribbed panel B and the interlayer are in bolted connection by reserving corresponding bolt holes; angle steel is distributed at two sides of the lower end of the partition wall main body and is connected with a floor slab at the lower end through the angle steel; and inverted-Z-shaped steel plates are distributed at the two sides of the upper portion of the partition wallbody and connected with beams at the upper portion through the inverted-Z-shaped steel plates. According to the prefabricated inner partition wall and the installation method thereof, the two ribbed panels and the interlayer are overlapped to form a large cavity structure, so that the situation that an inner partition wall has good physical properties such as heat preservation, sound insulation and fire resistance while the influence of the partition wall on a main body structure is reduced can be guaranteed, the installation form of the inner partition wall is further simplified, and the engineering quality and the installation efficiency of the partition wall are improved.
