The invention relates to the technical field of wine set design, in particular to a wine decanter, and aims to solve the problem of long decanting time of a glass wine decanter in the prior art. The technical key point is that the wine decanter is made of a purple sand material or comprises a part made of the purple sand material. The wine decanter is made of a purple sand material, and a unique double-pore structure of the purple sand material is utilized, so that countless breathing channels are distributed on the whole container up and down, the contact area between a wine body and air is greatly increased, tannin substances in the wine body can be softened more sufficiently, and red wine is more mellow. Tests prove that a common decanter generally needs 30 minutes to 3 hours for decanting, but a purple sand decanter enables the wine body to smoothly breathe freely at 360 degrees, so that the decanting time is effectively shortened by about 50%.
