The invention relates to the technical field of building external sunshade, in particular to an electric fabric roller shutter for external sunshade and an installation method thereof. A housing of the device is fixedly installed on a wall, and a roller shutter groove for a fabric roller shutter to pass through is formed in the tail end of the housing; the head end of the fabric roller shutter isinserted into a driving shaft of a driving assembly through an upper buckling strip; the tail end of the fabric roller shutter is clamped in a lower buckling strip groove of a bottom beam through a lower buckling strip; roller shutter side protrusions are arranged on the side edges of the fabric roller shutter; guide grooves are respectively formed in the opposite surfaces of a left guide rail anda right guide rail; buckling grooves are clamped in the guide grooves, and chutes are inserted into the buckling grooves; the roller shutter side protrusions are inserted into rails of the chutes; and elastic components are arranged between the tensioning end surfaces of the chutes and the buckling grooves. The installation method is divided into a preinstallation part and a field installation part according to the structural characteristics of the product, the installation process is simplified, and the efficiency is improved. The structure of the electric fabric roller shutter is improved,so that the wind resistance of the fabric roller shutter is improved, and the electric fabric roller shutter is more suitable for an external sunshade scene of a high-rise building.
