The invention discloses a tension and compression combined supporting system for capping a hollow pier. The system comprises a simply supported type lifting frame steel beam bearing system, a tensionand compression combined type strong supporting system, a lifting template system, a limiting system, a fine adjustment system, an anti-cracking system and an anti-slurry leakage system. When the construction method is used for capping the hollow pier or a hollow tower, manholes can be prevented from being reserved, the number of reserved manholes is greatly reduced, a main force-bearing componentlifting formwork system is combined permanently and temporarily, the structural safety is improved, construction joints are reduced, and profile steel is arranged at pier top joints to enhance connection; the tension and compression combined type strong supporting system is an auxiliary stress system, the using amount of profile steel is reduced, the tensile stress possibly generated by a bracketon side wall concrete is avoided, aerial operation is reduced through overall prefabrication and hoisting, and the construction safety is guaranteed to the maximum extent.
