According to the glass curtain wall structure and the construction method thereof, the panel can be installed on the keel only through external force, the first connectingplates and the connecting mechanisms are firmly clamped, meanwhile, the position fixing mechanisms and the position fixing grooves are matched to further guarantee the mounting stability of the panel,the situation that the panel suddenly falls off in the dismounting process is avoided, the dismounting process is quite safe and reliable, dismounting and mounting are very convenient, and the operation is easy.
