The invention relates to an assembly type light steel building. The assembly type light steel building comprises a base, a plurality of containers, a connecting device for connecting every two adjacent containers and a limiting device for limiting the positions of the containers, wherein the containers is located above the base, the connecting device comprises a plurality of sliding blocks, clamping plates rotationally connected with the sliding blocks, locking assemblies located on the sliding blocks and elastic assemblies located on the sliding blocks, two sliding grooves allowing the sliding blocks to slide are formed in the two adjacent side walls of the containers correspondingly, the sliding grooves are formed in the length direction of the containers, the sliding grooves are formedclose to the corners of the two adjacent side walls of the containers, at least two sliding blocks are arranged in each sliding groove, and when the opening sides of the clamping plates on every two adjacent containers are opposite in direction, the clamping plates can be clamped in a matched mode. By means of the angle-adjustable clamping plates, the two containers which are distributed side by side, vertically and oppositely and in staggered distribution can be conveniently clamped, then the two containers are installed, and meanwhile the installation efficiency of the containers is improved.
