The invention discloses a control method of a food cabinet. The food cabinet comprises a cabinet body, a driving device, a monitoring device and an object sensor, wherein a material storage platform is arranged on the cabinet body, at least one material storage position and at least one sliding door are arranged on the material storage platform, the sliding doors are used for covering materials inthe corresponding material storage positions and can be opened during material taking, the driving device comprises a power assembly and a pushing assembly, the power assembly is used for driving thepushing assembly to move in the front-back direction, the pushing assembly can abut against the rear edge of the sliding door, and when the pushing assembly moves forwards, the sliding door can be pushed to move forwards to close the material storage position. The control method of the food cabinet comprises the steps of detecting the state of the sliding door; detecting whether the food cabinethas an object in a preset range or not; and when it is detected that no object exists in the preset range of the food cabinet and the sliding door is in an open state, enabling the pushing assembly topush the sliding door to be closed. In this way, automatic closing of the sliding door can be achieved, and sanitation of seasonings is guaranteed.
