The invention discloses a wooden structure ancient building rehabilitation process. The rehabilitation process comprises the following steps: caulking; polishing; scrubbing the surface of polished wood with water at 75 to 90 DEG C until patterns on the surface of the wood appear; then spraying gardenia pigment for at least three times; and spraying finishing paint for at least three times, whereinthe gardenia pigment is prepared by adding water and other auxiliary materials into gardenia and decocting with medium fire or slow fire. The gardenia pigment is non-allergic compared with raw lacquer, stable to heat, easy to color, rich in color, uniform in color, consistent with ancient color, non-dazzling, non-discoloring and non-fading.
