The novel wallboard hanging structure comprises a base, a horizontal limiting structure, and a normal limiting structure;the base comprises a horizontal mounting part and a connecting part; the horizontal mounting part is used for being fixedly connected with a target hanging wall; the connecting part is vertically arranged at the outer side of the horizontal mounting part; the horizontal limiting structure is fixed to the connecting part; a limiting strip is arranged at the bottom end of the horizontal limiting structure; the limiting strip is used for being inserted into a target hanging wallboard; the normal limiting structure is fixed to the connecting part or the horizontal limiting structure; an elastic piece is arranged at the outer side of the normal limiting structure; and the elastic piece is used for elastically limiting the target hanging wallboard in the normal direction relative to the targethanging wallboard. According to the novel wallboard hanging structure and hanging method, double stable hanging of the wallboards in the horizontal direction and the normal direction can be guaranteed, manual assembly space does not need to be reserved, the use area of a house is increased, in addition, the hanging process is simple, the construction period is short, the efficiency is high, no construction waste is generated, no dust is generated, no noise is generated, a pure dry method is adopted, and environmental friendliness and economy are achieved.
