The invention relates to the technical field of rainwater accumulation structures, in particular to a sponge city rainwater accumulation structure which comprises a box-shell-shaped outer box; an opening is formed in the top of the outer box; a box-shell-shaped inner box is arranged in the outer box; the upper end of the inner box extends out of the outer box; two symmetrically-distributed supporting frames are arranged on the periphery of the inner box and fixed to the outer box; a vertical plate is arranged at one side of the supporting frames; one end of the vertical plate extends into an inner cavity of the inner box; and the end of the vertical plate is fixed to the wall of the inner cavity of the inner box. Through the structural design of the sponge city rainwater accumulation structure, overground accumulated water is effectively collected, when the urban ground surface is dry, and collected water permeates into the ground surface, so that the moisturizing effect on plants in acity is achieved, and good energy-saving and environment-friendly effects are achieved.
