The invention discloses a double-protection device of a parking equipment traction mechanism. The double-protection device comprises a traction component and a traction component, wherein the tractioncomponent is called as a first traction component and is arranged at the tail end of an original traction mechanism, and the traction component is additionally installed at the position adjacent to the first traction component, has the same structural parameters as the first traction component and is called as a second traction component. The first traction component and the second traction component can be adopted to jointly bear and drag a vehicle carrying plate to ascend and descend, or one of the first traction component and the second traction component is adopted as a main traction component to drag the vehicle carrying plate to ascend and descend, and the other one of the first traction component and the second traction component is adopted as a backup traction component. In the abovementioned mode, a rocker arm switch or a tension sensor or a pressure sensor can be adopted as a chain cable breakage detection device, the safety of equipment, vehicles and operators is guaranteedin a simple, reliable and low-cost mode, the major potential safety hazards existing in parking equipment which adopts a traction mode to achieve ascending and descending operation of the vehicle carrying plate at present are thoroughly eliminated, the double-protection device is suitable for design of new products, the original structure can be kept, and existing parking equipment can be transformed.
