According to the retractable automatic road joint cutting device, the driving mechanism drives the joint cutting mechanism to operate, meanwhile, the driving mechanism drives the limiting mechanism to move, the joint cutting mechanism is driven to move through movement of the limiting mechanism, and joint cutting of the road surface is achieved; compared with an existing joint cutting device, operation of a telescopic assembly and the joint cutting assembly is achieved through one output end, and energy is saved; the telescopic assembly and the joint cutting assembly are linked by adopting a pure mechanical structure, so thatthe stability of the device is improved, the service life of the device is prolonged; meanwhile, the joint cutting assembly is telescopic through the telescopic assembly and a bracket, a good joint cutting effect is achieved for pavements with different widths, the practicability is improved, meanwhile, the space is saved, and the device is convenient to store.
