The invention relates to a light wave-transparent ceramic thermal insulation material and a preparation method thereof. Specifically, the invention relates to a preparation method of a light wave-transparent ceramic thermal insulation material, which comprises the following steps: dispersing short fibers by a semi-dry mixing method, dispersing the short fibers by a wet process, forming a thermal insulation material wet blank, and drying, sintering and further performing moisture-proof treatment to obtain the light wave-transparent ceramic thermal insulation material with excellent density, heat conductivity coefficient and dielectric property. The invention also relates to the light wave-transparent ceramic thermal insulation material prepared by the method. The material is especially suitable for being used as a wave-transparent thermal insulation integrated material in aerospace crafts.
