The invention discloses a method for preventing vehicle door collision. The method comprises the following steps: when a vehicle is static, calculating the Doppler frequency shift amount of a UWB signal and/or the radial speed of an object relative to a UWB signal transceiving module according to the UWB signal transmitted by a vehicle-mounted UWB signal transceiving module and the UWB signal reflected by the object around the vehicle and received by the UWB signal transceiving module; if the Doppler frequency shift amount is greater than a set frequency shift amount threshold value or the radial speed is greater than a set speed threshold value, calculating the position of the object; and judging whether the time when the object reaches the vehicle door is smaller than a set time threshold value or not according to the radial speed and position of the object, if yes, locking the vehicle door to prevent the vehicle door from being opened; otherwise unlocking the vehicle door to allow the vehicle door to be opened. According to the method, the vehicle door collision can be prevented only by supporting the UWB technology by the vehicle, so that a solution for preventing the vehicle door collision can be provided for most common vehicle types with lower cost.
