The cast-in-place cylindrical shaped steel formwork comprises a plurality of steel formwork single bodies and a plurality of connecting pieces, wherein each steel formwork single body comprises a cylindrical steel formwork, a side connecting plate, an upper connecting plate and a lower connecting plate; the upper connecting plate and the lower connecting plate are arranged on the outer side walls of the upper tail end and the lower tail end of the cylindrical steel formwork, through holes are formed in the upper connecting plate and the lower connecting plate in the radial direction, and the side connecting plate is arranged on the side wall of the steel formwork single body and connected with the upper connecting plate and the lower connecting plate; and the plurality of steel formwork single bodies are stacked in the radial direction, the upper connecting plates and the lower connecting plates of every two adjacent steel formwork single bodies are overlapped, and the connecting pieces are inserted into the through holes of the upper connecting plates and the lower connecting plates and connected with the upper connecting plates and the lower connecting plates. The cast-in-place cylindrical shaped steel formwork and the construction method thereof are easy to operate, high in stability and not prone to slurry leakage.
