The invention discloses a coal mine underground reservoir artificial dam body and a design and construction method thereof, and belongs to the field of artificial dam body design. The artificial dam body comprises a dam body located in a connection roadway, a plurality of first anchor rods penetrating through the dam body, and fastening assemblies arranged on the anchor rods in a sleeving mode, wherein the dam body comprises at least two concrete layers arranged in the extending direction of the connection roadway, and waterproof layers are arranged on the outer surfaces of the concrete layers and between any two concrete layers; the two side ends of the first anchor rods are located on the outer sides of the concrete layers correspondingly; and the fastening assemblies lock the first anchor rods to the dam body. The problems that an existing coal mine underground reservoir artificial dam body is large in material consumption and high in construction and manufacturing cost are solved.
