The filtering type rainwater pond comprises an energy dissipation sand setting pond, a regulation and storage pond, a filtering gabion dam, an overflow facility and a water level adjusting pipe, wherein an inlet of the energy dissipation sand setting pond is connected with a rainwater discharging opening; an inlet of the regulation and storage pond is connected with an outlet of the energy dissipation sand setting pond; the filtering gabion dam is arranged between the outlet of the energy dissipation sand setting pond and the inlet of the regulation and storage pond; the overflow facility is arranged at the outlet of the regulation and storage pond and is adjacent to a receiving water body; and the water level adjusting pipe is arranged in the overflow facility at a pre-set height and two ends of the water level adjusting pipe are connected with the regulation and storage pond and the receiving water body respectively. The filtering type rainwater pond disclosed by the invention has the advantages of great regulation and storage capacity, simple structure and low construction cost; the maintenance working amount of automatically adjusting a water level is low and the rainwater purification capability effect is good; and meanwhile, the regulation and storage pond is used for constructing an ecological landscape through different planting and matching and the landscape quality of the pond is improved.
