The invention provides a tunnel type intensive soil-covering ecological cemetery. The tunnel type intensive soil-covering ecological cemetery is located under a hill and comprises an underground tomb group located underground; the underground tomb group comprises at least two tomb layers; each tomb layer comprises an underground tunnel of a net structure; a plurality of tomb chambers are formed in the side wall of each underground tunnel; storage racks used for storing life boxes or remains are arranged in the tomb chambers; the underground tunnel in each tomb layer is independently connected with at least one tomb group entrance located on the ground surface; a sacrifice hall is arranged at each tomb group entrance; the ground surface above the underground tomb group is covered with vegetation; and a sacrifice place located on the ground surface and used for holding public sacrifices is further arranged in front of each tomb group entrance.
