The method comprises the steps: dividing an existing ship lock water conveying system into seven different types; constructing three type selection parameters: m, mL and mc; constructing m, mL and mC quantized value tables of seven types of water delivery systems; calculating quantized values of type selection parameters m, mL and mC of the ship lock to be subjected to type selection; and calculating the absolute correlation degree between the ship lock to be selected and each type of water delivery system by adopting an absolute correlation degree method, and selecting the maximum value of the absolute correlation degree as the type of the water delivery system. According to the method, the type selection accuracy of the water delivery system is improved, the type selection result of the water delivery system can be quantified, and the method is simple and practical and has a good application prospect.
