The invention discloses lightweight gypsum mortar. The light gypsum mortar is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 600-800 parts of desulfurized gypsum powder, 200-400 parts of heavy calcium carbonate, 50-100 parts of glass beads and 10-20 parts of an additive. The additive comprise the following components in parts by weight: 3-8 parts of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, 2-6 parts of a thixotropic agent, 3-5 parts of starch ether, 0.5-2 parts of redispersible latex powder and 10-20 parts of cement. The lightweight gypsum mortar has the advantages of greatly improving a production environment, batching precision, the labor intensity of workers and a labor utilization rate, fully utilizing the working time of the workers and improving production efficiency.
