The invention discloses a floor drain capable of laterally draining accumulated water. The floor drain comprises a shell, the shell is provided with a cavity, a drainage valve is arranged in the cavity, a drainage pipe is arranged below the shell, and the cavity communicates with the drainage pipe; a water seepage net is further arranged between the shell and the drainage pipe, and a plurality of water seepage holes are formed in the water seepage net; and when the surface of a floor tile layer is aged and damaged and part of the floor tile layer cannot play a waterproof sealing role, the accumulated water is led out through the water seepage holes and drained from the drainage pipe, the accumulated water is drained, a waterproof layer and a structural layer of a building are prevented from being damaged by excessive accumulated water, and leakage is prevented. The floor drain capable of laterally draining the accumulated water is simple in structure and easy to manufacture, and the accumulated water drainage function can be added on the basis of the structure of an existing floor drain without great modification.
