The invention discloses an inlet water garbage filtering device for a sewage treatment plant. The device comprises a box body; partition plates are welded to the inner walls of the four sides of the bottom of the box body; a bottom plate is welded to the outer walls of the tops of the partition plates; a sliding plate is slidably connected with the top of the bottom plate; a driving extrusion plate is hinged to one side of the sliding plate; a hydraulic push rod is hinged to the interior of one side of the bottom of the box body; the other end of the hydraulic push rod is rotationally connected with the outer wall of the top of the driving extrusion plate; and a driven extrusion plate is hinged to the end, away from the driving extrusion plate, of the sliding plate. According to the inlet water garbage filtering device for the sewage treatment plant, through the box body, the partition plates, the bottom plate, the sliding plate, the driving extrusion plate, the hydraulic push rod, the driven extrusion plate, a supporting block, a contact base, a hydraulic oil cylinder and a pressure plate, garbage becomes a square block after extrusion is completed, subsequent treatment is facilitated, and compared with a traditional mode, the collected garbage is subjected to dehydration treatment advantageously, subsequent secondary treatment of the garbage is facilitated, cleaning is facilitated, and environment protection is facilitated.
