The invention provides an efficient thermal-insulation lightweight ceramsite wallboard and a preparation process thereof. The wallboard is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 420 to 550 parts of a cementing material, 2400 to 2800 parts of aggregate, 150 to 210 parts of composite gel powder, 50 to 90 parts of modified polyphenyl granules, 30 to 65 parts of a composite foaming agent, 4 to 8 parts of a water reducing agent and 180 to 240 parts of mixing water. Raw material selection and preparation are specifically optimized, and the formed ceramsite wallboard is high in strength, thermal-insulation, low in shrinkage rate, remarkably improved in comprehensive mechanical property, durable and stable in overall performance and worthy of market popularization and application.
