The invention relates to a fastening device for fixing a component (1) on a recess (6) of a profile (5), having at least one screw (9) which is rotatably mounted on the component (1) and which engages with a threaded portion (12) in a diamond nut (3) which can be rotated between a mounting position and a removal position, wherein at least one stop (15) is provided on the component (1) for limiting a rotational movement of the diamond nut (3) in the removal position, and wherein at least one spacer (13) is integrally formed with the component (1), the spacer is arranged between the diamond nut (3) and a support surface (2) of the component (1) in the removal position, the support surface can be placed on a groove wall (7) of the groove (6). Therefore, the fastening device can be easily fixed on a profile, for example, the housing of the closing unit is installed on a slide rail of a sliding door fitting.
