The artificial stone preparation method has the beneficial effects that multi-stage crushing is carried out on raw stones, and crushed products of different sizes are obtained, and the raw stones are fully utilized; color sorting screening is carried out on a crushed product, a stone with color reaching the standard is obtained through screening, so that the situation that the purity of stone powder is affected, and consequently, the color of a manufactured artificial stone plate does not reach the standard is avoided; the screened material is ground into powder, and mixing and modifying are carried out on the stone powder; so that the compressive strength and breaking strength of the artificial stone are improved and the powder expansion coefficient is reduced to improve the thermal transition point of the artificial stone; and vacuum pressing is carried out on the modified product, so that the gas content in the artificial stone is low, and the mechanical properties such as compressive strength and toughness are improved.
