The barrier gate comprises a barrier gate case, a main rod, an auxiliary rod, a linkage mechanism and a driving mechanism, wherein one end of the main rod is in transmission connection with the driving mechanism on the barrier gate case, and the driving mechanism drives the main rod to rotate relative to the barrier gate case; the other end of the main rod is movably hinged to one end of the auxiliary rod; the linkage mechanism is connected with the auxiliary rod and the driving mechanism in an assembled mode; and the driving mechanism drives the linkage mechanism to control the auxiliary rod to be relatively parallel to or perpendicular to the main rod. In this way, the passing height of the barrier gate can be controlled and limited, and therefore effective management of large and small vehicle types is achieved.
