The embodiment of the invention discloses an intelligent household water treatment method and a related device. The intelligent household water treatment method comprises the following steps of: receiving an infrared image acquired by an infrared camera of an intelligent water-saving switch, an ultrasonic signal acquired by an ultrasonic sensor and a reference water temperature acquired by a temperature sensor by electronic equipment; determining a controlled state of an original switch according to the infrared image; determining a reference position state of a hand of a user relative to a water outlet of a wash basin faucet according to the ultrasonic signal; determining a control strategy of the intelligent water-saving switch according to the reference water temperature, the controlled state and the reference position state; and sending a control instruction carrying the control strategy to the intelligent water-saving switch, wherein the control instruction is used for controlling the water outlet by the intelligent water-saving switch according to the control strategy, so that running water which is not used by the user actually or is lower than a water temperature expected by the user is stored in a preset water storage container. The intelligent household water treatment method disclosed by the embodiment of the invention is beneficial for improving the utilization rate of water used by a wash basin.
