The invention discloses a safety protection system for electric power engineering construction. The safety protection system comprises two guide rails which are fixedly connected with each other, wherein the bottoms of the two guide rails are fixedly connected with two supporting plates; a winding mechanism is mounted on one supporting plate; a hanging mechanism is mounted on the other supporting plate; a winding wheel is mounted on the winding mechanism; a protective net is wound on the winding wheel; a horizontal moving mechanism is movably mounted on the guide rails; and a scissor-fork type lifting platform is mounted on the horizontal moving mechanism. The invention relates to the technical field of electric power engineering. The safety protection system solves the problems that in an electric power engineering construction process, in a protective net erecting process, a mounting frame needs to be mounted firstly, and then the protective net is fixed on the mounting frame, so that the erecting process is very inconvenient; and meanwhile, a conventional safety protection system only achieves the protective effect, and electric power construction needs to additionally use climbing equipment such as a ladder.
