The castable for the ladle slagging-off plate comprises the following components: 50-65 parts of mullite, 15-30 parts of andalusite, 3-12 parts of alumina, 2-8 parts of silicon carbide, 2-8 parts of aluminum oxide, 2-5 parts of zirconite, 0.5-2 parts of steel fiber, 2-5 parts of pure calcium aluminate cement, 0.6-1.2 parts of silica powder, 0.5-2.5 parts of carbon microspheres and 0.06-0.16 part of a water reducing agent. The carbon microspheres are used as the additive to be added into the castable for the ladle slagging-off plate, so that the wettability of molten iron, slag, a desulfurizing agent and the surface of a castable matrix can be effectively reduced. Then zirconite is added into the castable for the ladle slagging-off plate to be decomposed into zirconium dioxide and a fused quartz phase under the high-temperature condition, and the zirconium dioxide can improve the toughness and the thermal shock stability of the material; moreover, the fused quartz can react with aluminum oxide in a matrix under a high-temperature condition to generate mullite, so that the mechanical strength and the erosion resistance of the material are improved, and the improvement of the erosion resistance and the strength of the material is promoted.
