The invention relates to the technical field of highway maintenance, in particular to a highway maintenance method which comprises a mounting seat, a mounting mechanism, a weeding mechanism, an auxiliary mechanism, a dust falling mechanism, a lifting mechanism, a steering mechanism and a supporting mechanism, wherein the mounting seat is used for connecting and fixing a highway maintenance device and a traction vehicle, the mounting mechanism is used for mounting the highway maintenance device, the weeding mechanism is used for removing roadside weeds of a highway, the auxiliary mechanism is used for removing stones mixed in the weeds before the weeds on the road surface of the highway are removed, and the dust falling mechanism is used for inhibiting flying dust generated in the clearing process of the weeds on a highway pavement. Dust falling operation can be carried out while roadside weeds of the highway are removed, the environment is protected, heavy flying dust can be prevented from stopping vehicles behind from advancing, the safety is high, weeding work is carried out by using the traction device, the working efficiency is high, the traction vehicle target is large, and the safety is high.
