The invention discloses a road facility for assisting traffic. The road facility comprises the ground and a detection assembly which is arranged on the upper side of the ground and used for detecting the speed of an automobile. The invention provides road equipment which can decelerate an overspeed vehicle in different modes, can automatically detect whether water is accumulated on the road surface or not and can effectively assist passersby in passing through a water-accumulated road section. Whether water is accumulated in the road section or not can be detected through a floating assembly, after water is accumulated, all speed reduction blocks are pushed upwards to the position flush with the water surface through a transmission assembly and a supporting assembly, and therefore shoes of the passerby cannot be wetted by water when the passerby passes through the road section with the water accumulated; and the overspeed vehicle can be decelerated under different conditions according to the overspeed proportion of the vehicle, so that the normal driving of the vehicle on the road is maintained, the pedestrians are safely assisted to pass through the waterlogged road section, the normal driving of the vehicle on the road is maintained, and the pedestrians are safely assisted to pass through the waterlogged road section.
