The invention provides a safety guardrail based on building construction and provided with a visual warning mechanism, belongs to the technical field of building construction guardrails, and aims to solve the problems that people still can easily cross over a building construction guardrail and the warning effect is reduced because a warning arrow on the top of an existing building construction guardrail is always in a static state at the top of the building construction guardrail. The building construction guardrail comprises a concrete base, a guardrail body is installed on the rear side of the upper end face of the concrete base, and four anti-loosening mechanisms are arranged on the lower portion of the guardrail body; and a treading and pressing mechanism is arranged on the front side of the lower portion of the guardrail body. When people want to cross the guardrail, firstly, people need to tread the upper part of a pedal, the pedal moves downwards under the effect of gravity to press a button on a starting switch, so that a reciprocating driving mechanism is started, and a reciprocating sliding block drives the warning arrow to quickly reciprocate left and right at the top of the building construction guardrail; therefore, the warning effect of the building construction guardrail is improved.
