The invention provides a semicircular steel wire rope damper and a combined damping support. The semicircular steel wire rope damper comprises an upper support steel plate (1) and a lower support steel plate (2), and is characterized in that an upper end rope clamp fixing structure is mounted at the bottom of the upper support steel plate (1) and located on the peripheral circumference of a support body (3), a lower end rope clamp fixing structure is mounted on the upper portion of the lower support steel plate (2) and located on the peripheral circumference of the support body (3), and a semicircular steel wire rope (9) formed by winding a single rope or a plurality of semicircular steel wire ropes (9) formed by bending are fixedly mounted between the upper end rope clamp fixing structure and the lower end rope clamp fixing structure. The semicircular steel wire rope damper and the combined damping support are reasonable in structure, the size of the steel wire rope damper and the size of the combined damping support are reduced, meanwhile, the connecting mode of the semicircular steel wire rope damper and the support steel plates is optimized, the steel wire rope damper is greatly convenient to disassemble, maintain and replace, and the support body is convenient to overhaul.
