The side slope vertical displacement measuring point arrangement method comprises the following steps: generating N test slip planes; calculating correlation coefficients of the N test slip planes and the most dangerous slip plane; calculating reliability indexes corresponding to the N test slip surfaces; determining the number of test points needing to be arranged, and grouping the test slip planes according to the correlation coefficient of the test slip planes and the most dangerous slip plane; and selecting the test slip plane with the minimum reliability index in each group as the position of the vertical displacement test point. According to the method and device, multiple positions where deep movement possibly occurs in the soil body in the future can be determined as much as possible on the basis of statistics, so that the change condition of deep displacement can be monitored in time.
