The invention discloses a connecting joint of a spanning tower and a foundation and a construction method of the connecting joint. The connecting joint comprises a foundation bolt group, steel ribs, anchor plates, stirrups and shear grooves. The foundation bolt group is in an inner and outer double-ring type, an upper main pipe is connected through a foundation flange, the distance between foundation bolts and the pipe wall of a main column can be remarkably reduced, and the force transmission efficiency is improved. The steel ribs are poured into foundation concrete and used for connecting concrete in the upper main pipe, the contact face of the foundation and the upper main column is increased, and the bearing capacity of the joint is improved.
