The invention provides an induction faucet convenient to install on a platform. The induction faucet comprises a faucet body, an installation set, a locking set, a water path set and a control set. The installation set is detachably arranged on the platform and is configured to allow the faucet body to be directly installed on the upper side of the platform. The locking set is arranged on one side of the faucet body and used for locking and limiting or unlocking the faucet body and the installation set. The water path set comprises a cold water pipe, a hot water pipe and a water outlet pipe. Water flow supplied by the cold water pipe and the hot water pipe can be converged to flow to the water outlet pipe and provides mixed water to the user side through the water outlet pipe. The control set is provided with an induction window and an electromagnetic valve. The induction window is arranged on the side face, adjacent to the water supply position, of the faucet body, so that after a user stretches out the hand to the water outlet part of the faucet body, opening and closing of the electromagnetic valve are triggered through the induction window to control the water outlet pipe to discharge water. The user can directly install the induction faucet on the platform without going under the platform, and the induction faucet is more convenient and faster to install. The invention further provides an installation method.
