The existing slope secondary excavation safety protection device comprises a color steel enclosure arranged at the slope toe of an existing slope and a protection wall arranged on a platform; the color steel enclosure comprises a color steel plate arranged at the slope toe; a prefabricated stand column ground beam is embedded in a soil body below the color steel plate; a steel stand column is arranged in the stand column ground beam; and the color steel plate is connected with the steel stand column. According to the existing slope secondary excavation safety protection device and the construction method, the color steel enclosure and the protection wall intercept a rock-soil body which collapses or slides down under slope secondary excavation disturbance in a segmented manner, the sliding-down distance of the rock-soil body is reduced, and therefore the sliding-down potential energy of the rock-soil body is reduced; under multiple protection measures, the problem that the rock-soil body collapses or slides down due to slope secondary excavation disturbance, and consequently the lower road traffic safety is influenced is effectively solved; and the safety protection device can be repeatedly used, the construction cost is effectively reduced, the construction period is shortened, the construction efficiency is improved, and the construction procedure is simplified.
