The invention discloses a clamping steel pipe for a scaffold. The clamping steel pipe comprises two nuts, two clamping sleeves, a plurality of arc-shaped threaded plates, a vertical rod and a sliding sleeve; the outer wall of the vertical rod is sleeved with the sliding sleeve, the outer wall of the sliding sleeve is fixedly connected to a connecting disc, and the connecting disc is in a regular decagon shape; a first through groove is formed in the middle of each edge of the connecting disc, and each first through groove is in special shape; through cylindrical grooves are formed in the two symmetrical sides of each first through groove of the regular decagon, concave circular ring grooves are formed in the two sides of each first through groove, and the two concave circular ring grooves, the two clamping sleeves and the two concave circular ring grooves are connected in a clamped mode; and the plurality of arc-shaped threaded plates are fixedly connected to the ends, away from the connecting disc, of the clamping sleeves. The clamping steel pipe can be arranged on the vertical rod at any position through fastening the arc-shaped threaded plates at the two ends of the sliding sleeve with the nuts, the horizontal rod is connected at any position according to the connecting disc, disassembly is convenient, and the sliding sleeve can be set up at will according to different strength or density requirements.
