The invention relates to concrete pumping equipment and a control method thereof. The concrete pumping equipment comprises a distribution valve, a first conveying cylinder, a first hydraulic cylinder, a second conveying cylinder, a second hydraulic cylinder, a third hydraulic cylinder, a hydraulic pump, an overflow valve set, a first detection part and a controller, and a first concrete piston is arranged in the first conveying cylinder; the first hydraulic cylinder is configured to drive the first concrete piston to reciprocate in the first conveying cylinder; a second concrete piston is arranged in the second conveying cylinder, and the second conveying cylinder and the first conveying cylinder alternately suck materials and alternately push the materials to an inlet of the distribution valve; the second hydraulic cylinder is configured to drive the second concrete piston to reciprocate in the second conveying cylinder; the third hydraulic cylinder drives the distribution valve to swing, so that an inlet of the distribution valve alternately communicates with the first conveying cylinder and the second conveying cylinder; the hydraulic pump configured to provide hydraulic fluid to the first hydraulic cylinder, the second hydraulic cylinder, and the third hydraulic cylinder; the overflow valve set communicates with the hydraulic pump; the first detection part is configured to detect whether the movement direction of a piston rod of the first hydraulic cylinder is switched or not; and the controller is in correspondingly signal connection with the overflow valve set and the first detection part, so that the overflow pressure of the overflow valve set is adjusted from the first pressure P1 to the second pressure P2 when the movement direction of the piston rod of the first hydraulic cylinder is switched, and the first pressure P1 is larger than the second pressure P2.
