The ecological management method specifically comprises the implementation steps that the coal gangue dump is subjected to slope surface leveling, a water collecting and draining structure is constructed on the slope surface by taking advantage of the condition, and a dry-laid gabion box is adopted at the slope toe for reinforcement; vegetation concrete is sprayed to the coal gangue dump subjected to stabilizing treatment, coal gangue gaps are filled, meanwhile, a slope body is reinforced, and acid-base balance is adjusted; and then the coal gangue dump is covered with planting soil, after a planting soil layer is compacted, an earth-moving base material layer is sprayed, then an environment-friendly plant fiber blanket is laid, finally, a plant seed layer is sprayed to the plant fiber blanket, and trees and shrubs are planted, so that a tree-shrub-grass three-dimensional vegetation system is formed on the top and the slope surface of the coal gangue dump. According to the ecological management method, the problems of dust pollution, spontaneous combustion explosion, landslide and the like caused by the coal gangue dump are solved, and the purpose of improving the ecological environment is achieved.
