The ecological slope protection comprises a slope body, an automatic grid type micro-irrigation system and a rainwater collection system, wherein the slope body is provided with an anchoring structure, an iron wire net, base layer vegetation concrete and surface layer vegetation concrete; the automatic grid type micro-irrigation system comprises a water tank, a second water pump, a water pressure sensor, a humidity sensor, a water level gauge, a micro-irrigation net unit, a main pipe and a controller; the rainwater collection system comprises a sedimentation tank, a water tank, a slope surface drainage system and a first water pump; rainwater is discharged into the sedimentation tank; and the first water pump is used for pumping water in the sedimentation tank into the water tank. The automatic maintenance method comprises the following steps of: cleaning the surface of a slope surface, measuring and paying off, mounting the automatic grid type micro-irrigation system and the rainwater collection system and the like.
