The invention discloses a crawling ladder safety protection device capable of automatically crossing a cross rod, and belongs to the field of crawling ladder devices. According to the crawling ladder safety protection device, the personal safety of workers can be guaranteed continuously, and meanwhile, the device can move upwards/downwards along with automatic crossing of cross rod obstacles by the workers. The device is clear in stress, simple in structure, light, flexible, economical and practical, and can be arranged at different protection parts according to needs. An external power supply is not needed, and the safety of falling workers is completely protected by a mechanical principle, so that the safety and the reasonability are achieved.
