The anchor cable construction method comprises the steps that S1 an anchor cable is prepared; S2 drilling is conducted; S3 anchor cable installation is conducted; S4 grouting is conducted, specifically, a grouting machine is adopted to conduct grouting on the interior of each drilled hole; S5 anchor cable tensioning is conducted, specifically, a single steel strand of the anchor cable in each drilled hole is subjected to graded tensioning; S6 secondary grouting is conducted, specifically, after tensioning is completed, the grouting machine is adopted to directly conduct grouting into each drilled hole from a grouting pipe of the anchor bearing plate; and S7 external protection is conducted, after secondary grouting is conducted, 45 to 55 mm steel strands are reserved from the anchor bearing plate, the other parts are cut off, and the outer portions of the steel strands are coated with cement mortar protection layers with the thickness not smaller than the length of the steel strands. The construction method is convenient to implement, by arranging a centering device on each anchor cable, the mounting precision of the anchor cable in the corresponding drilled hole can be guaranteed, the connecting strength of each anchor rod and the corresponding drilled hole can be guaranteed, it can be guaranteed that the interior of each drilled hole is completely filled with slurry through two times of grouting, gaps are reduced, and the fixing strength is further improved.
