The invention relates to the field of indoor decoration, in particular to a mounting structure and a construction method for indoor decorative moldings. The structure comprises a decorative template fixed on a wall body, a plurality of assembling components fixed on the decorative template and decorative moldings fixed on the assembling components; a plurality of inserting grooves which are opposite up and down are formed in the side edges of the two vertical faces of the decoration template; the assembling assemblies comprise socket plates inserted into the corresponding inserting grooves; the socket plates are rotationally connected with corresponding mounting plates; fixing pieces for fixing the mounting plates are arranged on the mounting plates; and the decorative moldings are connected to the mounting plates in a clamped mode. In the decorative molding construction process, an assembly type mounting mode is adopted, the construction efficiency can be greatly improved, the construction period is shortened, and meanwhile manpower is saved.
