The invention relates to the technical field of building structures, in particular to a novel dog-bone type connecting joint unit of an assembly type buckling-restrained brace steel frame structure. The unit aims to solve the technical problems of fracture lag and small joint plastic zone in the prior art. A joint plate assembly is located in a beam-column joint area formed between a column and a beam and used for connecting the column and the beam; one end of the buckling-restrained brace steel frame structure is connected to the joint plate assembly, and the other end of the buckling-restrained brace steel frame structure is connected to a preset fixing position of the other beam; and the dog bone type joint structure is constructed at the end part of the beam. According to the technical scheme, an elastic-plastic displacement angle limit value exceeds 2% of the standard, a beam flange of a cross section is weakened, plasticity is fully developed, a plastic hinge is formed, the buckling-restrained brace steel frame structure dissipates a large amount of energy after being subjected to repeated tension-compression plastic deformation, and finally an unrestrained connecting section is bent.
