The invention relates to a variable-cross-section concrete-filled square steel tubular column connecting joint. The connecting joint comprises an upper concrete-filled square steel tubular column (1) and a lower concrete-filled square steel tubular column (2) that are arranged in an up-down structure mode, a sealing plate (3) connected between the upper concrete-filled square steel tubular column (1) and the lower concrete-filled square steel tubular column (2), and an overhanging plate (31) which is arranged at the bottom of the pipe wall of the upper concrete-filled square steel tubular column (1), and the overhanging plate (31) is inserted into concrete of the concrete-filled square steel tubular column (2). Compared with the prior art, the connecting joint has the advantages of being suitable for rigid connection between the variable-cross-section concrete-filled square steel tubular columns, capable of forming multiple stress defense lines and the like.
