The invention relates to a recessed greenbelt structure for collecting rainwater in a sponge city. The recessed greenbelt structure is characterized by comprising the following structure that a lower permeable geotextile layer is laid on the upper surface of a rammed earth layer, and the rammed earth layer is a saline-alkali layer; a water storage layer is laid on the lower permeable geotextile layer, and a blind pipe is embedded in the water storage layer; and a permeable layer is laid on the water storage layer, an upper permeable geotextile layer is laid on the permeable layer, a medium soil layer is laid on the upper permeable geotextile layer, and the medium soil layer is of a recessed structure. The recessed greenbelt structure further comprises an overflow well, the overflow well is arranged in the recessed greenbelt structure, the bottom of the overflow well is fixed in the rammed earth layer, the blind pipe communicates with the overflow well, and the overflow well communicates with a rainwater well through a rainwater pipeline. According to the recessed greenbelt structure, peripheral runoff can be gathered into the recessed greenbelt structure for retention during raining, then the runoff is slowly discharged into a municipal rainwater pipeline through infiltration, and the recessed greenbelt structure has the effect of adjusting the opening of the overflow well according to the runoff volume, so that the rainwater in the recessed greenbelt can be timely discharged when the rainfall is too heavy.
