The invention belongs to the field of bridge demolition, and particularly relates to a large bridge blasting demolition monitoring system and an application method thereof. The monitoring system comprises a control machine, an anti-theft alarm, a position sensor, a temperature and humidity sensor, an unmanned aerial vehicle and a detonating device. The application method of the monitoring system comprises the following steps: determining a blasting danger area and a blasting warning area; setting a constructor positioning device; mounting construction equipment on a bridge, and drilling; mounting a position sensor and a temperature and humidity sensor on an explosive; dispelling effective living targets; blasting the bridge; recovering the explosive; and cleaning the blasting residues. According to the invention, the monitoring system is introduced, position tracking and alarm are carried out by the monitoring system in the whole process, the cost of security work is saved, and the safety effect is improved; in the important stage, the on-site living body invasion condition is monitored, and the risk of casualties of people and livestock is reduced; and after blasting, unexploded residual explosives are recycled, so that the risk that the explosives flow out or are accidentally detonated is reduced.
