The invention relates to a house building foundation pit supporting structure which comprises a plurality of soil retaining plates installed on the two opposite inner side walls of a foundation pit. A supporting rod is arranged between every two opposite supporting plates; each supporting rod comprises an adjusting screw rod and two fixing rods used for abutting against the corresponding soil retaining plate; adjusting grooves allowing one end of each adjusting screw rod to be clamped in are formed in the end, away from the soil retaining plates, of the fixing rods; the adjusting screw rods are in threaded connection with the inner side walls of the adjusting grooves; a fixing piece used for limiting rotation of the adjusting screw rods is arranged on each fixing rod; and each fixing rod is detachably connected with the corresponding soil retaining plate through a limiting piece. The soil retaining plates are firstly installed on the inner side walls of the two sides of the foundation pit one by one, then the adjusting screw rods are rotated according to the width of the foundation pit, the length of the supporting rods is adjusted by adjusting the length of the parts, stretching into the adjusting grooves, of the adjusting screw rods, and the two ends of the supporting rods abut against the soil retaining plates, so that the supporting rods can be matched with the foundation pits with different widths.
