The invention discloses a rock mountain vegetation ecological restoration method. A rock mountain is included, and a corresponding restoration method is selected by measuring the inclination angle of the rock mountain. Drought-enduring plant planting points are arranged on the rock mountain, waterproof cloth capable of reducing water loss and collecting rain, snow, rain and dew is laid in conical tree pits, so that the waterproof cloth can collect water at plant roots as much as possible, and the vegetation growth environment is guaranteed; and a straw network or a straw containing circular pipe cloth bag is laid between the conical tree pits, so that moisture can be greatly increased for restoring soil around vegetation, moisture loss is reduced, the content of humus in rock debris soil is increased, the content of microorganisms and tiny organisms is increased, the characteristics of rock soil are improved, and the restoration efficiency is improved.
